Spirulina is a blue-green form of alga which grows inside water. It was consumed by human beings for centuries due to the many health rewards. Currently, it is collected from lakes and used to create nutritional supplements used as a natural remedy for many medical ailments. It is because it possesses countless nutrients in their organic form.

Spirulina is an outstanding source of beta carotene. It includes around Ten times the sum of beta carotene available in carrots. Beta carotene is a powerful antioxidant which helps to prevent the start of cancer and various diseases. The human body at the same time turns beta carotene into vitamin A. Vitamin A is an essential nutrient that helps with healthy development of eyes.
