Is enjoying each trimester of your pregnancy something you want to experience? Is a happy and healthy baby something that is an absolute top priority for you? Pregnant women should not eat certain types of food that cause uncomfortable and less than ideal fatigue, sweating, discomfort or worse yet waking up in the morning feeling nauseated.

You might be uncertain about some of the following:

What types of food should I avoid when I am pregnant?

Have there been pregnant women who have been able to avert large amounts of pregnancy weight?

Are there any steps I can take to make sure my baby stays undamaged during my pregnancy?

What are things I can do to make sure my little one has the best chance of being born healthy?

What can I do to prevent harmful and painful experiences while I am pregnant?

Would it excite you know that you don't need to go to drastic measures or go on some crazy crash diet while you are pregnant? You can eat well and provide essential nutrients to your soon to be newborn without having to eat foods that don't satisfy your own hunger or lack flavor.

During pregnancy it is strongly recommended that you limit if not eliminate these foods:

1) Uncooked meats- have a favorable chance of salmonella contamination according to recent studies. Putting you and your baby at this type of risk would not be advised.

2) Manufactured processed foods- these types of foods may leave you with a temporary feeling of satisfaction but are often followed by sugar cravings and unhealthy energy crashes. It's highly recommended to steer clear of processed carbohydrates.

3) Dirty Vegetables- that have not been properly washed. Even if you find yourself buying organic during pregnancy it's still recommended that you wash them due to how many people come in contact with the vegetables.

4) Farm Raised Fish- or any fish that has been recently exposed to any type of pollution in its' waters. Make sure to ask where the fish is from, and if you are able to make it work try to purchase fresh wild caught fish versus farm raised fish which is often fed corn.

5) Eggs that are uncooked- just like raw meats, uncooked eggs will put you at risk of salmonella contamination. Avoid things like sauces, mayo, or dressings that may be made with raw eggs.

At this point, you are probably wondering if there is actually anything left that you CAN eat while you are pregnant, right?

Why does it seem like some women gain nearly nothing during their pregnancy, have perfectly healthy and happy baby, getting back to a normal weight in weeks, but you can't lose those unwanted pregnancy pounds?

The real question you need to ask yourself, is it helpful getting help from someone who's been where you have?

3 simple steps to help make your pregnancy more enjoyable:

2) Less is not more, practice healthy habits eating plenty of delicious healthy foods while pregnant.

2) Each trimester will become more enjoyable by learning to combine the right types of foods.

3) Apply a simple and effective exercise routine to look better after your pregnancy than before.

Proper food combining paired with a simple exercise routine will have you experiencing a more enjoyable pregnancy by subsiding painful symptoms like stubborn fatigue and the morning blues.

You can stabilize your blood sugars by eating more proteins throughout the day. This will help you do away with constant cravings of sugar and less than healthy foods.

Lack of sleep and stress can cause you to crave foods that you normally wouldn't eat and definitely aren't good to eat while you are pregnant. During a time when you are more hormonal than usual, keep stress levels down and get plenty of sleep.

This might seem like a lot of information to sift through or be a little overbearing. The most important thing to remember here is baby steps, no pun intended. Your pregnancy doesn't happen overnight and as long as your improve a little every day you increase the chance of gazing at your beautiful little boy or girl who smiles as the enter the world.
